From the first glance, its remarkable design is obvious. The Taos is a continuation of Volkswagen's clean approach to design, with touches of youth to keep it authentic. Highlights include an original LED light signature, premium German interior design details and fun exterior colors like optional cornflower blue.
The Taos is a truly compact 5-seater, measuring 236mm shorter than the Tiguan. Still, it offers generous space by class standards, with 2,817 L of passenger volume and up to 1,877 L of cargo volume with the rear row folded down.
Power comes from the new 1.5-liter TSI engine, which benefits from advanced engineering to produce 158 horsepower and 184 lb-ft of torque - while delivering exceptional fuel economy. 17 inch, 18 inch and 19 inch aluminum alloy wheels are available for this model.
Finally, an SUVW would not be complete without the comfort. This is why the Taos comes with a wide range of standard equipment such as heated front seats,
LED headlights and taillights and a digital cockpit. Plus, drivers can choose the optional 4MOTION® all-wheel drive to improve comfort and control in Canadian winters.
Security :
If the vehicle detects an imminent collision, the optional Front Assist and Pedestrian Detection system alerts the driver with an audible signal. The feature is also designed to automatically apply the brakes under certain conditions, so if the driver doesn't respond, the Taos will do its job.
The all-new Volkswagen Taos will launch in Canada in the summer of 2021.
